Hey i just bought something on the internet from someone located in france.
He gave me a tracking number from La Poste but the whole website is french and theres no way to change the language to english.

Attached is a screenshot of the website, any help regarding the status of the package (from anyone, preferrably someone who dealt with La Poste before) is appreciated.

I do know that Arrivee means something like arrival but still, no clue where its supposed to have arrived (airport maybe?)

Please, any help is welcome,

thanks

There are certain things to consider with this. First just about everything in France closes for the whole month of August. Even shops - offices - restaurants etc. Everyone takes off for the beach and mountains and return end the end of the month. The French (and in most of the world) the dating system is different from the USA, so when it say 9/8 it means 9th of August and 10/8 10th of the month. It would appear that the package was delivered to the local post office in Les Lilas on the 9th and arrived at the international office on the 10th Les Lilas is a small suburb just outside. of Paris. Did you buy this from a company or from an individual.? A company would know that a custom's declaration has to be made out. An individual might not have realized that. Then the package will be checked by French authorities to see if anything prohibited was sent and then it must go through USA customs - probably in New York or Miami. I I have done many similar transactions - both ways - and never have lost anything, but it could take 10 days to two months.

I once had a problem and was worried about the shipment I searched the USA postal service and they gave me a number in Washington DC. I called and they explained the whole procedure and were very helpful.

Looks like it was picked up in Les Lilas on August 9th.

You should be able to click on the link "Détails de l'acheminement" that should bring up the routing details and the exact stage and location of the shipment.

I don't think the date next to "Arrivée" is the planned arrival: it says August 10th, which would be very quick.

The website of La Poste actually offers several ways for you to track a shipment, such as via Twitter or Facebook.
