I'm 14, I know I shouldn't drink, but I don't need a lecture about that! I'm going on a school trip to france, and I'm wondering if I can bring alcohol in my suitcase or not? Will i be stopped and searched? If I am will they tell my parents or just take the alcohol? Does the same apply for Tobacco?

There is no legal minimum age at which you are permitted to be in possession of alcohol.

There are legal minimum ages for BUYING alcohol but unlike many other countries there is no law against a minor being in possession of alcohol.

There are also limits on the amount of alcohol you may bring into France no matter what your age. So you are legally required to declare any when passing through customs control.

Since you are going on a school trip I suspect that the adult in charge would not want you to be carrying alcohol. Since anyone can have their bags searched when going through Customs control you should recognize that there is a very real possibility you might be caught if your adult chaperon sees your bag being opened by the Customs police.
